الدكتور تركي الحمد (مواليد 10 مارس 1952) هو كاتب وروائي وأكاديمي سعودي بارز، يُعدّ من أبرز الأصوات الليبرالية المعاصرة في العالم العربي. حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في النظرية السياسية من جامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا عام 1985 بعد دراسة مكثفة في جامعة كولورادو، وقضى نحو عقدٍ من الزمن أستاذاً للعلوم السياسية في جامعة الملك سعود قبل أن يتفرغ للكتابة والكتابة الصحفية.
أبرز إسهاماته الأدبية:
• أثارت ثلاثيته الروائية الشهيرة بعنوان “أطياف الأزقة المهجورة” (العدامة، الشميسي، الكراديب؛ صدرت بين 1995 و1999) ضجةً واسعة لكونها تتناول في سياق سيرة شبه ذاتية موضوعات حساسة كالدين والجنس والسياسة في مجتمع محافظ.
